How to Update Adhar Card Details Online in 2018

However, during the enrollment of the Aadhaar several times, the details are not accurate or up to date updates and there may be major disadvantages later on. Even though every details are updated properly during the enrollment but you have recently moved to a new place and there has been a change in your residential address, you will have to go through an immediate basis to avoid any inconsistencies later on. It needs to be updated.

The good thing is that it does not take much time to process the details of Aadhaar card in the improvement. UIDAI has developed a special item known as 'Aadhar Self Service Update Portal' (SSUP) to facilitate an easy and efficient way of updating Aadhar card improvement online. There are three simple steps: entering the Aadhaar ID, confirming the information and entering new details which need to be updated.

How to update/correct date of birth, address details in adhar card ?

•     Log on to the official website of UIDAI (www.uidai.gov.in) and click on the option to say 'Base Base Details (Online)'. You can also visit the link: https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/update
•     Enter the 12 digit number printed on your base card.
•     Enter the 4-digit OTP sent to the registered phone number at the time of enrollment.
•     Check Flag the address box in the list of options provided.
•     Fill in the address details that are to be updated and to ensure that you fill in all the details in the local enrollment used when the base enrollment was made.
•     Re-confirm all the details and submit a request to proceed.
•     Scan and upload the self-certified copies of selected identification / address proof and ensure that only original documents are provided to avoid any inconvenience in the future.
•     You will be presented with the estimation of the time required by UIDAI to process and update your request.
•     Submit Aadhar Card Update Request.
•     After successfully submitting the request, you will be provided an Update Request Number (URL) and displayed on the screen. By visiting the Update Request Tracking page, this URL can be used to track the status of your Aadhaar Correction / Update request. (Https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/check-status)

How to update mobile number , name and date of birth in adhar card online ?

•     Enter the Aadhar Service and Portal (SSUP), your base number and OTP sent to your registered mobile number
•     Enter a new mobile number to be connected to your base in the space provided, near the banner calling 'Mobile Number'.
•     An OTP will be sent to the new mobile number to be updated. Enter the OTP in the place provided, and click 'Submit' to proceed.
•     After submitting the request, you will be provided an Update Request Number (URL) for your update request, which can be used to track your base update status at any time in the future.
•     What are the documents needed to submit Aadhaar card correction / update request?

•     According to the UIDAI website, documents uploaded for the purpose of scanning and transcripts of documents include passport, bank statement / passbook, and post office account / passbook, ration card, voter ID, driving license, water bill and telephone landline bill. However, the water / electricity bill should not exceed three months of issuance. 

•  Apart from this, the following documents can be submitted after supporting the Aadhaar card update process:

• A valid government photo ID card issued by PSU or service photo ID
• Property tax receipt (not more than one year old)
• Credit Card Statement (not more than three months old)
• insurance policy
• Pensioner card
• Income tax assessment order
• Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
• Registered Sale / Lease / Rent Agreement

Note :
While certifying copies of addresses / identity proofs, your signature / thumbprint should be present on them. Also, the Aadhaar number should be written on all self-certified copies of the documents being uploaded. For children under age five, parents / guardians can fill the thumbprint or sign in the Aadhaar card change request form and supporting document copies.

Time and Charge required for the Aadhaar update process: -
According to the UIDAI guidelines, the UIDAI officials guarantee a 90 days time duration to successfully process the update / correction request. In the meantime, you can track the status of your base updates by visiting the UIDAI website and entering your update request number.

There is no fee / fee charged on the online basis card update process using SSUP.
